Paris Saint Germain's Serbian international Mateja Kezman apologised for angrily throwing his shirt to the ground while being substituted in midweek French League Cup action. The striker was booed by a section of the Parc des Princes' home fans as Paul Le Guen's defending champions fell 3-0 to Laurent Blanc's Bordeaux in the semi-finals.
"I deeply regret what I did," Kezman said. "I want to make it clear I love the club and I want to apologise to supporters with whom I have always had warm relations. I was annoyed with myself all night."
Just after missing a great chance, former Chelsea striker Kezman threw his shirt to the ground after being substituted by Fabrice Pancrate in the 64th minute. He went directly to the dressing rooms, prompting Le Guen to say in post-match comments that the player would be punished.
