Colombian ace joins Wigan

Wigan finally signed Hugo Rodallega on Monday after the Colombia striker joined the English Premier League side in a 4.5 million pounds move from Mexican club Necaxa.

Rodallega, granted a work permit earlier this month, passed a medical and agreed personal terms on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The deal, which came after the departures from the JJB Stadium of Honduras midfielder Wilson Palacios and England striker Emile Heskey, remains subject to international clearance.

However that should not prove a problem as Rodallega has scored six goals in 21 matches for Colombia.
