The Seattle Sounders extended their lead at the top of the MLS Western Conference with a 2-1 comeback victory at home to FC Dallas.

Garbini Michel's 16th-minute penalty handed the visitors the lead before second-half goals from Lamar Neagle and substitute Kenny Cooper claimed the three points for Seattle, moving them five points clear of second-placed Real Salt Lake with their opponents a point further behind in third.

Second-bottom San Jose Earthquakes claimed a much-needed point from their goalless stalemate at home to the Colorado Rapids.

In the Eastern Conference, Will Bruin netted five minutes after the break to hand the Houston Dynamo a 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew to move his side into third on goal difference - with the top four teams all on 14 points and Crew two points off the pace in fifth.
