FC Sion and Lucerne kept up their pursuit of Swiss Super League leaders Basel after both sides recorded victories today.

Sion enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 home win over Neuchatel Xamax, with Guilherme Afonso opening the scoring on 11 minutes and Abdoul Yoda doubling the lead just seven minutes later.

Lucerne, on the other hand, were made to work much harder for their win, coming from behind to beat Grasshoppers 2-1.

Steven Zuber put the visitors in front on 50 minutes, but Daniel Gygax equalised on 68 minutes and Sally Sarr netted the winner ten minutes from the end.

Lucerne are three points behind Basel in second place, while Sion are two points further back in the table.

In today's other game, FC Zurich thrashed bottom side Lausanne 4-1. Amine Chermiti gave Zurich the lead on ten minutes and although Nicolas Marin equalised in the 44th minute, there was still time for Xavier Margairaz to put the home side back in front before the interval.

Silvan Aegerter scored in the 66th minute before Oliver Buff then completed the scoring in the second half.
