Timm Klose added a second for the hosts after 82 minutes to set up a frantic finish but the visitors held on for the points.
Zurich trail leaders Basle by seven points and remain five clear of third-placed Young Boys, who were 2-0 winners at FC Sion thanks to goals by Moreno Costanzo and substitute Emmanuel Mayuka.
