Ignacio Camacho has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract at Malaga.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs in recent weeks but said he was committed to the Spanish side he joined from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
"I'm very grateful to the club and feel extremely valued," Camacho told the club's website after penning terms until the summer of 2019. "I'm so thankful to the club for making such a big effort, and I'd like to thank everyone here for all their hard work.
"I'm extremely grateful to the club for making everything so easy for me. Since I arrived here I've felt like I've had an identity and feel very valued by the club following this contract extension. I only have words of gratitude for everyone here."
Camacho has been able to establish himself in Bernd Schuster's midfield this season. Although there have been some turbulent times at Malaga in recent seasons, both good and bad, he spoke confidently about the future of a side currently tenth in the Spanish La Liga.
"There have been a number of changes over the years, but the most important thing is the strong union amongst the team," he said. "This season has been a period of transition, but this is for other people within the club to take care of, and not for the players to get involved with.
"I believe in continuity within the club and have faith in every player on the team."
