Zenga sacked by Al-Nasr

Former Italian goalkeeper Walter Zenga was sacked today as coach of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr after a series of poor results.

The 50-year-old - a member of the Italian side that reached the 1990 FIFA World Cup™ semi-finals when Italy hosted the tournament - had guided Al-Nasr to the top of the Saudi championship but recent results had seen them slip to second.

Zenga - who won two UEFA Cups and a Serie A title during his time as Inter Milan goalkeeper - had accrued considerable previous coaching experience in the USA, Romania, Serbia and Turkey before managing Sicilian Serie A outfits Catania and Palermo.
