Dinamo Moscow began life after Dan Petrescu with a thumping 5-0 win over Volga Nizhny Novgorod.

The Romanian manager left his post following the 4-0 loss to Anzhi Makhachkala last time out but his team clearly responded as a double from Alan Kasaev coupled with goals from Aleksandr Kokorin, Artur Yusupov and Christopher Samba handed them a resounding win.

The win moved Dinamo into fourth place in the Russian Premier League, seven points behind Zenit St. Petersburg at the top, while Volga lost their eighth game in a row to sit seven points adrift of safety.
