Ivan Solovyev's 20th-minute strike helped ten man Dinamo Moscow edge past city rivals Lokomotiv and into the top five. Solovyev put the hosts in charge but they were left hanging on for the final 20 minutes when Artur Yusupov was dismissed.

CSKA Moscow extended their advantage at the top of the Russian Premier League to five points with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Krylya Sovetov. With nearest challengers Anzhi Makhachkala in action tomorrow, the league leaders had the chance to go clear at the summit.

They took advantage in fine style, with Pontus Wernbloom putting them ahead seven minutes before the interval and Ahmed Musa sealing the win in the 72nd minute.

Elsewhere, Alania Vladikavkaz moved three points clear of rock-bottom Mordovia Saransk after holding Rostov to a goalless draw.
