Portuguese club Braga have announced that they have parted company with coach Leonardo Jardim, who leaves "by mutual consent" after just one season at the helm.

Press reports indicated that Jardim, 37, departed after a falling out with Braga president Antonio Salvador, despite steering the club through one of the most successful campaigns in their history.

Sports daily Record has claimed that former Portuguese international winger Sergio Conceicao, who led unfashionable outfit Olhanense to eighth place in the top flight in the season just finished, is being lined up as Jardim's replacement.

Under Jardim, Braga finished third in the table, qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League in the process.
