Krisztian Nemeth scored the only goal of the game to give RKC Waalwijk victory over De Graafschap in the Eredivisie today. Nemeth struck 12 minutes from time to settle the contest at the Mandemakers Stadion and drop the visitors to the foot of the table.

Excelsior's 2-1 win over Roda JC saw them swap places with De Graafschap, who are now 11 points adrift of safety. Rangelo Janga had given Excelsior the lead after five minutes and the score remained like that until stoppage time.

An own goal from Jagos Vukovic extended the lead two minutes into stoppage time before Sanharib Malki netted what proved to be a consolation goal.

NEC Nijmegen extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 2-0 win at third-bottom VVV-Venlo. Goals from Leroy George (38) and Lasse Schone (73) steered the visitors to victory.
