Papadopulos to join Heerenveen

Czech striker Michal Papadopulos passed a medical at Heerenveen and will now sign a five-year contract with the Dutch club, his agent Pavel Zika said.

The 24-year-old striker, who has made one appearance for the Czech national team, spent last season at Czech first division side Mlada Boleslav, scoring ten goals.

Before joining the team last summer, Papadopulos played for German sides Bayer Leverkusen and Energie Cottbus, having spent one year at English giants Arsenal in 2003-04.
