Kuwait Sports Club have completed their domestic season with silverware after claiming the Amir Cup on Monday with a 2-1 victory over Al Arabi.

Firas Al Khatib drew first blood for the defending champions Al Arabi a minute before the half hour mark from the spot but Abdullah Al Marzouqi levelled the scores three minutes later. Faraj Laheeb then scored their match-winner in the 34th minute for the game's third and last goal within a hectic five minute period.

Kuwait SC, who finished third in the league, needed to win this crown in order to book their place in the next year's AFC Cup, are in the quarter-finals of this season's competition. Frenchman Laurent Banide's side last clinched the Amir Cup six years ago.
