Jeonbuk Motors beat Jeonnam Dragons to go top of the K-League Classic after Pohang Steelers lost to Suwon Bluewings. First-half goals from Lee Jaesung and Han Kyowon gave Jeonbuk a 2-0 win, and they leapfrogged Pohang to top spot after the Steelers were thrashed 4-1 at Suwon Bluewings.
Santos Junior gave Suwon the perfect start by opening the scoring in the first minute, before Pohang levelled in the 26th minute after Hwang Jisoo found the back of the net.
The score remained 1-1 until the hour-mark when Santos scored his second, before Roger made the game safe for the home side by scoring in the 87th minute for a 3-1 lead. Kwon Changhoon compiled Pohang's misery buy notching his side's fourth in added time.
Elsewhere, Seoul and Gyeongnam drew 1-1, with Seoul forward Everton Santos' 60th-minute equaliser cancelling out Sreten Sretenovic's strike nine minutes earlier.
New K-League Classic leaders Jeonbuk have 35 points from 18 matches, Pohang are second with 34 and their conquerors Suwon move into third with 32 points.
