Pohang Steelers retained their two-point lead at the top of the K-League despite being held to a goalless draw at bottom side Incheon United. Second-placed Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors also recorded a 0-0 stalemate in their match away to Ulsan Hyundai to keep the pressure on the Steelers.

Two points further back, Jeju United moved up to third after coming out of their six-pointer at home to Chunnam Dragons with a 2-0 victory thanks to a goal in each half from Su-Chang Park and Aleksandar Jovanovic leaving them level with their fourth-placed opponents on 30 points.

Suwon Samsung Bluewings closed the gap on the top four to one point with a 2-0 victory over Busan I'Park. Tae-Se Jong put the Bluewings ahead just before the break and Junior Santos made the points safe with ten minutes to go. FC Seoul strengthened their mid-table position as they fought back from a goal down to record a 2-1 victory at home to Sangju Sangmu.

Chang-Hoon Kim put the visitors in front just before the hour mark but Mauricio Molina and Sergio Escudero scored deep into the second half for Seoul. In Wednesday's other match, second-bottom Gyeongnam suffered a 1-0 defeat at Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, who claimed the points following Tae-Hwan Kim's 57-minute winner.
