Omiya Ardija lost 2-1 to Yokohama Marinos Saturday but remained top of the J.League after their closest challengers Urawa Red Diamonds crashed to a 4-0 defeat to Kawasaki Frontale.

Brazilian striker Marquinhos put Yokohama ahead in the 22nd minute, before Manabu Saito, who had set up Marquinhos' goal, added another. Omiya scored a stoppage-time consolation through Tomoki Imai.

Urawa were thrashed thanks to goals from Japanese international Kengo Nakamura, Brazilian Renato, Masaki Yamamoto and Yoshito Okubo.

Yojiro Takahagi scored a goal five minutes into injury time to give Hiroshima a 1-0 win over Osaka, while Kashima succumbed to Kashiwa Reysol 2-1, when Brazilian striker Cleo clinched the winner late on.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima reached second place in the table after Yojiro Takahagi's last-gasp goal sealed a 1-0 victory over Cerezo Osaka. Takahagi waited until the 90th minute to fire the only goal of the game and lift Sanfrecce to within three points of leaders Omiya Ardija.
