Midfielder Inui Takashi, who is bound for German club Bochum, scored the opener as lowly Cerezo Osaka cruised to a shock 5-0 victory over J.League leaders Kashiwa Reysol today.
Inui got the rout underway in the 18th minute, and his side never looked back as Rodrigo Pimpao, Martinez, Ryuji Bando and Shu Kurata added four more.
Kashiwa stay top on 28 points, three points clear of Vegalta Sendai and four above both Yokohama Marinos and Kawasaki Frontale.
Sendai conceded an own-goal in the 65th minute to draw with defending champions Nagoya Grampus 1-1, while Yokohama play Kawasaki tomorrow.
In other games, Avispa Fukuoka gained their first win in 14 games this season when they defeated Ventforet Kofu 1-0, while former Asian club champions Urawa Red Diamonds drew 1-1 with Gamba Osaka.
