Roma have continued their summer of high-profile acquisitions by completing a deal for Hellas Verona forward Juan Iturbe.
The 21-year-old had been widely expected to sign for Juventus but Roma, on the same day that they officially presented Urby Emanuelson, sneaked in to steal the Argentinian from under the champions' noses on a five-year deal for €22m.
"The agreement provides for the payment of a variable amount, up to a maximum of €2.5m, for bonuses linked to Roma's achievement of certain athletic goals.
"The player has signed a five-year contract, expiring on 30 June 2019."
Iturbe scored eight goals during a season-long loan in Verona, before making his move from Porto permanently in May, but he will now join Dutch midfielder Emanuelson, former England left-back Ashley Cole and Turkish midfielder Salih Ucan as recent big-name signings in the capital.
