Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri said he was looking for a high-level encounter against Serie A rivals Inter Milan this weekend to mark his 50th birthday. Both teams earned impressive UEFA Champions League victories in midweek and Napoli, just a point off the top, sit three points above their rivals in the league.
"I'd like the guys to give me a high-level game," said Mazzarri ahead of Saturday's tie. "I hope that the team have recuperated their energy, physically as well as mentally and that they will play a great match like against Villarreal," he said of the 2-0 midweek victory against the Spaniards in the Champions League. I'm interested in nothing else."
But Mazzarri said unlike his Inter counterpart claudio Ranieir he does not consider the game as potentially a title clash. "After five matches you can't say things like that," said Mazzarri. Both have worries in attack with Napoli's Edinson Cavani ruled out while Inter are hoping to welcome back Giampaolo Pazzini, recovering from an ankle problem, as well as right-back Maicon.
