AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini is set for up to a month on the sidelines after being diagnosed on Wednesday with a dislocated shoulder.

However, there was better news ahead of this weekend's Serie A clash with Napoli as tests showed Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng had not fractured his ribs.

Ambrosini was injured after Tuesday's 2-2 draw with UEFA Champions League holders Barcelona at the Camp Nou while Boateng hurt himself during the match, and was replaced by Ambrosini.
