Roma are breathing a sigh of relief after it was revealed midfielder David Pizarro could be back in action in eight days' time.
The Chile midfielder was stretchered off during yesterday's 2-2 draw with Parma after a tackle from Sebastian Giovinco. It had been feared he had suffered a serious knee problem. However, scans today have confirmed that the damage is less serious than initially believed.
Pizarro is certain to miss Friday's match at Lecce but could feature against Shakhtar Donetsk in the return leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16 tie in Ukraine on 8 March.
