Italy midfielder Angelo Palombo has signed a contract extension with Sampdoria keeping him at the club until 2015.
His previous deal was due to run out in two years' time.
"I'm delighted, I'm a fan and I feel like I'm Sampdoria through and through. It was my priority to extend the contract," he said.
The club captain's contract extension is a boost to a side that lost Italy international forwards Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini during the January transfer window to AC Milan and Inter Milan respectively.
