AC Milan strikers Pato and Filippo Inzaghi may miss Sunday's Milan derby against Inter after both limped out of Wednesday's 3-1 win over Palermo at the San Siro.
Pato came off with a thigh problem after going down in the area while his replacement Inzaghi then also had to leave the field with a knee injury after a 50-50 challenge.
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri said he was counting the cost of injuries ahead of the crucial game against Inter. "We're arriving at the derby in confident mood, we'll see who plays after we've counted the dead and injured," he said.
"Inzaghi has twisted his knee, I hope its nothing serious but we must wait and see; Pato's is a muscular problem."
Milan went top after goals from Pato, a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty and Robinho gave them a victory over the Sicilians, for whom Armin Bacinovic netted. Milan are now one point ahead of second-placed Lazio and three ahead of arch rivals Inter in fourth. Inter were held to their fifth draw of the season, 1-1 at lowly Lecce.
