Augsburg defender Ragnar Klavan has signed a new three-year deal with the German Bundesliga outfit.
The Estonian's contract was not due to expire until next summer, but he has now put pen to paper on an agreement that will see him stay with the club until 2017.
The 28-year-old joined Augsburg in 2012 from AZ Alkmaar and has since been a virtual ever-present as the club retained their Bundesliga status and fought for a UEFA Europa League place.
"My family and I have now been in Augsburg two years and feel very comfortable," he told the club's official website. "Our son was born here and my wife is expecting our second child. On a sporting level, Augsburg has taken a fantastic development because we have a great team and the mood in the SGL Arena is great. All this has made my decision easy.
"I want to continue to do my part so we can successfully continue our development."
