Freiburg were the big winners on an important day in the Bundesliga relegation dogfight as they thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1.
Freiburg remained inside the bottom three but, with Hamburg beating Nurnberg 2-1 in their own lowly battle, Christian Streich's side are now just a point from safety.
Both Hamburg and Nurnberg are the teams directly above them, on 23 points, with Frankfurt now dangerously lingering only four points ahead.
Felix Klaus (70) restored Freiburg's two-goal cushion before Guede grabbed his second in injury-time.
Hamburg struck twice in the last ten minutes to win at home to Nurnberg.
Hakan Calhanoglu belatedly gave Hamburg the lead in the 80th minute and Mike Frantz's own goal doubled their advantage before Josip Drmic managed to score Nurnberg's consolation goal on the stroke of full-time.
