German champions Borussia Dortmund will be without defender Neven Subotic for next Saturday's Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim. The centre back tore a groin muscle in training and will miss the next ten days.
Subotic sat out yesterday's opening German league match of the season as the champions beat Hamburg 3-1 at home, with place being filled by Brazil's Felipe Santana.
Germany defender Marcel Schmelzer, who has recovered from back and hip problems, is expected to be fit to face Hoffenheim having returned to full training.
But Paraguay striker Lucas Barrios is expected to miss the rest of August having torn his thigh muscle in the 3-0 defeat to Urgugay in the Copa America final on 24 July.
