Hanover's out of favour former Germany striker Mike Hanke has joined Borussia Moenchengladbach on a two-and-a-half year contract, the Bundesliga's bottom side announced today

The 27-year-old forward had fallen out of favour at Hanover where he has taken up residence on the subs bench.

Hanke, who has 12 international caps to his name, joined fourth-placed Hanover in 2007. The former Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg player moves on with six months remaining on his contract.
