Dutch defender Edson Braafheid has been suspended by Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal for tomorrow's game against Nuremberg after a heated exchange on the pitch between the pair.
The 27-year-old defender reacted angrily when van Gaal criticised him for cutting short his warm-up last Saturday in the 3-3 home draw with bottom side Moenchengladbach, reported German daily Bild.
The pair clashed in front of Bayern's bench and after Braafheid threatened to become aggressive, van Gaal's assistant Andries Jonker split the pair up.
Braafheid trained with the senior side this week, but is now expected to be sold when the transfer window opens in January.
Since joining Bayern in June 2009 from Dutch side Twente, Braafheid has made just 12 appearances for Munich, three this season, and spent the second part of last season on loan to Scottish side Celtic.
