The international break is proving to be a godsend to Werder Bremen, with coach Thomas Schaaf is starting to welcome his key players back into training.
Claudio Pizarro, Torsten Frings, Clemens Fritz and Tim Borowski all missed Werder's last Bundesliga game due to injury, but all four are in line for a comeback when the competition recommences next weekend.
"I am fit again," announced Fritz on his club's website. "The medical team have done a very good job."
He was joined by Borowski in full training yesterday, while Pizarro is due to return to action in the next few days.
"I am being cautious, so I think I will be able to train with the team fully again on Wednesday or Thursday," said the Peruvian striker.
Former Germany international Frings should then join the team for their final preparations for their home game against Freiburg on 16 October.
