Hamburg's Jarolim hit with cup ban

Czech Republic midfielder David Jarolim was banned for his next two German Cup games after being sent off in Wendesday's semi-final defeat to Werder Bremen.

The 29 year old was shown a straight red card in the 92nd minute after fouling Bremen midfielder Mesut Oezil before Hamburg went on to lose in a penalty shootout.

Jarolim's ban will take effect next season while Bremen now face Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup final at Berlin's Olympic Stadium on 30 May.
