Pejcinovic to undergo groin surgery

Nice defender Nemanja Pejcinovic could miss up to two months of action after agreeing to undergo surgery on his groin later this week.

The 26-year-old Serbian has made 13 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season but will miss most of the run-in as he recovers from an operation scheduled to take place on Thursday.

A statement published on Nice's official website said Bayern Munich's specialist club doctor, Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, will perform Pejcinovic's surgery.

The centre-back will then be incapacitated for "between six to eight weeks", according to his club.
