Ghana's Jordan Ayew set for Sochaux loan

Marseille and Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has agreed to join Sochaux on a six-month loan deal, the Ligue 1 strugglers announced on Thursday.

Sochaux said agreement had been reached on the deal subject to the 22-year-old passing a medical.

Jordan Ayew, younger brother of fellow Marseille star Andre and son of Ghana great Abedi Pele, has scored only once in 16 appearances this season, and has more often than not had to settle for a place on the bench at the Stade Velodrome.

He will hope the move improves his chances of making the Ghana squad for the FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil.

Sochaux, coached by former Zambia boss Herve Renard, are second from bottom in Ligue 1, six points from safety.
