French youth international Benjamin Mendy is set to join Marseille from second-tier French side Le Havre after the two clubs reached an agreement in principle on Monday, the Ligue 1 club announced.
No details of the transfer fee or duration of the contract were disclosed.
The 18-year-old left-back is Marseille's second recruit of the close season following the arrival of Dimitri Payet from Lille.
A statement published on www.om.net read: "Marseille and Le Havre have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Benjamin Mendy."
Mendy also reacted to the news through his official Twitter account tonight, writing: "Hello Twitter, I am officially Marseillais."
