Emon into Ajaccio hotseat

Albert Emon will succeed Alex Dupont as coach of struggling French First division side Ajaccio, the Corsican club announced on Friday.

Emon, 59, who has also coached Marseille, will take over the reins in the New Year, replacing Dupont, who was sacked earlier this week after allegedly "losing the dressing room".

Meanwhile, Valenciennes, who have climbed to a surprising 10th place in the French League, announced that coach Daniel Sanchez, whose contract expires in June next, has signed a one year extension.
