Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering a left foot fracture.

Gignac, who has scored five goals this season, picked up the injury during Sunday's 1-0 Ligue 1 loss at Troyes.

"It's not good news," said Gignac after the match. "That's how it is, but that's part and parcel of a footballer's life, but it's often bad luck for me, and even doubly so because we lost this evening."
