Lyon coach Remi Garde has admitted that French international midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is still not ready to return from the ankle injury that has prevented him from featuring so far this season.
Gourcuff has not played since OL's 2-0 defeat at Toulouse on 1 May. He underwent surgery in late July in a bid to heal a niggling ankle complaint, and a setback in training on Saturday put paid to his hopes of a return against Marseille yesterday.
"Yoann had to withdraw from training with the reserves on Saturday because of swelling in his ankle," said Garde. "It's not really linked to the surgery, but it will put his comeback on hold for the moment.
"I don't know exactly how much longer he will be out, but these things can happen when you return to top-level competition or training after an operation like that. There is no reason to be alarmed."
Lyon currently sit a point clear at the top of Ligue 1 after six games and travel to Caen on Wednesday evening.
