M'Vila extends Rennes deal

Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila has extended his current deal by a year, to 2015, the French side announced on their website today.

Rennes, who currently sit fifth in the table 17 points behind new champions Lille with one match to play, are set to play in the UEFA Europa League next season.

M'Vila, who also plays for the French national team, had already extended his contract with the Breton club until 2014 in April.

However, he is not concealing his wish to ply his trade elsewhere in the future.

"I still have some progress to make, whether that's here or elsewhere," said M'Vila, who highlighted the influence of his coach Frederic Antonetti in his decision to stay.

"I'm lucky at this club because Antonetti is here, and he can help me a lot."
