Stoke snap up Sonko

Stoke City have signed Senegal defender Ibrahima Sonko from Reading for an initial fee of £2 million.

The 27-year-old agreed a three-year deal to complete a move that will be worth a maximum fee of £2.25 million if certain clauses in the contract are met.

Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's official website: "We are delighted to make Ibrahima the club's latest signing.

"He is a quality addition to the squad and comes with plenty of Premier League experience having played in the top flight with Reading."
