Argentina forward Erik Lamela completed his move from Roma to Tottenham Hotspur on Friday, becoming the club's second signing of the day and sixth of the summer. "We are delighted to announce that we've reached agreement with AS Roma for the transfer of Erik Lamela," Spurs said on their Twitter feed.
Roma had already announced an agreement to sell the 21-year-old Lamela on Wednesday for €30m (£25.6m) plus a potential €5m euros more in bonuses.
Despite spending a month out injured during last season, Lamela scored 15 times in 33 games for Roma to finish as his club's second top scorer behind Pablo Osvaldo (16).
The forward came through the youth ranks at River Plate in his native Argentina, before joining Roma in 2011. He has been capped three times at full international level.
Tottenham have now spent over £90m in this transfer window following the signings of Lamela, Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Nacer Chadli and Vlad Chiriches.
