Tottenham defender William Gallas could be sidelined for up to a month after damaging a hamstring in training, it was reported on today.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp told The Sun that Gallas, who has been in commanding form for Tottenham this season, broke down in training on yesterday and was immediately sent for a scan.
"It's not good. William just pulled up and now we have to wait and see whether there's a tear," Redknapp said. "William's been in great form for us. If he's out for a long time it's a big blow for sure."
Gallas has been a key figure in Tottenham's progression into the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and made a vital goal-line clearance during last week's decisive draw with AC Milan in the last-16.
In another injury headache for Redknapp, defensive midfielder Wilson Palacios has undergone knee surgery which rules him out for three to four weeks.
