Atletico Mineiro came from a goal down against Santos to record only their second win of the Campeonato Brasileiro season on Sunday.

Cicero gave Santos a first-half lead but Andre struck twice in six minutes (75, 81) to give Atletico a 2-1 victory. For Santos, who had drawn three of their four previous games, it was a first defeat of the new campaign.

Ganso scored twice as unbeaten Sao Paulo won 2-0 at Flamengo. The playmaker, absent from Brazil's FIFA World Cup™ squad, took his frustration out with a 23rd-minute opener and a last-minute clincher.

One of the players who will be involved in Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad, striker Fred, was sent off as his side Fluminense lost 1-0 to Gremio. Rodriguinho scored the only goal of the game eight minutes before the break.

Gremio's win lifts them alongside Cruzeiro in second place in the fledgling table.

The two teams are a point behind Internacional, who were held to a goalless draw at Criciuma despite the hosts having Carlos Eduardo sent off shortly before half-time.

There was another draw in Curitiba where Atletico Paranaense were pegged back late on by Chapecoense. Cleberson gave the hosts a 70th-minute lead but Tiago Luis equalised two minutes from time in the 1-1 draw.

Giovanni Augusto's 48th-minute goal gave Figueirense a 1-0 win at Corinthians while Palmeiras beat Vitoria by the same scoreline, Diogo on target with the goal.
