Marcelo Moreno scored seven minutes from time as Cruzeiro twice hit back from a goal down to earn a 3-2 victory at ten-man Atletico Paranaense.

Both sides had won and drawn once this season and it was the hosts who appeared on course to remain unbeaten as they went ahead midway through the first half through Ederson before re-establishing their lead just before the break thanks to Marcelo after Nilton had levelled. But Drausio's dismissal just after half-time gave Cruzeiro a man advantage and they levelled matters through Souza's penalty in the 75th minute before Moreno sealed victory for the visitors 11 minutes after coming off the bench.

Marquinhos bagged a brace as Vitoria ended Fluminense's 100 per cent winning start to the season by triumphing 2-1. Fluminense had won both of their opening fixtures but Marquinhos scored in the 54th and 83rd minutes, meaning Wagner's effort two minutes from time was mere consolation.

Coritiba claimed their third draw from three games this season after Santos earned a 2-2 draw through Ademilson's 72nd-minute strike. Alexandre Pato put Santos ahead midway through the half and although strikes from Robinho on the half hour and Chico in the 61st minute put Coritiba ahead, Ademilson ensured a share of the spoils. Finally, Santos were held to a goalless draw by Gremio.
