Wales announce Netherlands friendly

Wales will face the Netherlands in a friendly in Amsterdam in June, the Football Association of Wales has announced.

The Dutch will use the fixture, set for Wednesday 4 June at the Amsterdam Arena, as part of their final preparations for their FIFA World Cup™ campaign in Brazil.

The sides last met in a friendly in Rotterdam prior to UEFA EURO 2008, with the home side winning 2-0.

Wales boss Chris Coleman is delighted his squad will have the chance to pit themselves against one of Europe's top sides ahead of their EURO 2016 qualifying campaign.

He said: "I could not ask for a better game for my squad at the end of the season.

"Everyone knows and respects the Dutch style of play and this will give us a great opportunity to measure ourselves against one of the top sides - not only in Europe - but the world."
