Arena Deutschland, the Official Emblem of the FIFA
Women's World Cup 2011, symbolically represents one of the
tournament's main objectives: creating a unique atmosphere in
full stadiums, allied with enthusiasm and passion away from the
venues too.
The emblem's design elements adhere dynamically to
FIFA's new brand architecture (two-colour "fin"
elements with a pictogram of the official event trophy to the top
right). Germany's identity as host nation is instantly
recognisable from the national colours, while the overall tonality
underscores the emotional dimension to the FIFA Women's World
Cup 2011.
The simple, pictorial statement tells fans from all over the
world what they can expect from the first FIFA Women's World
Cup in Germany: a joyful festival with the entire nation as an
arena.
"We had a fantastic atmosphere here for the 2006 World
Cup, so we've opted for a symbol which carries that forward,
Arena Deutschland," German Football Association (DFB)-General
Secretary Wolfgang Niersbach said.
"It's a dynamic logo, dynamic like waves, and
I'm hoping the terrific atmosphere at the stadiums will roll
over the entire country," added OC President Steffi
Jones.
