Back in 2007, the German Football Association (DFB) applied
to organise the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011, with 12 cities and
stadiums - from A as in Augsburg to W as in Wolfsburg. The OC is
set to reach a decision regarding the definitive venues in autumn
2008.
