1.       What kind of tickets are available?

Only seat tickets are being allocated for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™. Single tickets and Venue Specific Tickets (VST) are available. For families and young football fans, reduced price tickets are available in all categories for children and young persons aged 16 or under. In the second sales phase, which runs from 17 February 2010 to 30 June 2010, discounted group tickets will be offered to amateur football clubs.

2.       Which sales phases are there?

To ensure fair and transparent allocation of the tickets even when demand exceeds the quantity of tickets available, and to provide as many fans as possible with tickets, the ticket sales procedure for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011  was divided into five phases. No orders are possible between the individual phases.

The first two sales phases feature attractive offers, and are aimed especially at fans from all around the venues, families and active footballers. In the first phase, which runs from 29 October 2009 to 31 January 2010, the so-called Venue Specific Tickets will be offered. In the second sales phase, which starts on 17 February 2010, specific group quotas will be offered exclusively to clubs.

Single tickets for all matches will be offered for the first time from 01 August 2010. This will take place within three separate sales phases up to 30 April 2011 (assuming availability).

Any remaining tickets will be sold in ‘Last minute sales' from 15 May 2011.

3.       How will the first sales phase proceed?
The first sales phase begins on 29 October 2009 and ends on 31 January 2010. During this time, Venue Specific Tickets can be purchased for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011.

The phase is divided into two sections. All applications that are received between 29 October 2009 and 6 December 2009 will be allocated in the time period 7 to 10 December.

If demand exceeds the available tickets on offer, tickets will be allocated on the basis of a random lottery draw. It makes no difference whether the application is received early, that is, on or shortly after 29 October 2009, or late, that is, on or shortly before 06 December 2009. Each correct order received has an equal chance of success.

If tickets are still available after 6 December 2009, then they will be allocated in the time period 11 December 2009 to 31 January 2010 in the order that orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served').

4.       What is a single ticket?

A single ticket entitles the holder to attend a match at the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™. Single tickets are offered in four price categories. On the day of the match, the ticket is valid for public transport at the venue during the times specified on the ticket. The ticket prices do not include the costs for travel between the venues in Germany.

Important: Single tickets can already be ordered during the qualification phase for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™. At this stage, it is still not certain which teams will qualify for the tournament and which qualifiers will play at which venue. Therefore, up to the final round draw (29 November 2010), single tickets can be selected only by match number, date and venue.

5.       What is a Venue Specific Ticket (VST)?

‘VST' stands for venue-specific ticket. Venue Specific Tickets exist for every venue with more than one match. A VST basically comprises of all matches at the selected venue. The only exception is Frankfurt: For Frankfurt, a VST with three matches (without final) and a VST with four matches (including the final) are offered.

For Venue Specific Tickets, the best seats are reserved in the respective category for sale to the public.

The price of a VST corresponds to the total sum of all single tickets prices contained therein, minus a discount of €10. There is no standard price for the city series. Therefore, a VST that contains only group matches, for example, is better priced than a city series with a semi-final. Venue Specific Tickets are also available in all categories and at significantly reduced prices for children and young persons aged 16 or under. Venue Specific Tickets are an attractive offer for fans and families who live within the region of a stadium; all matches in a city can be seen from as little as €30 (category 4, Bochum or Sinsheim VST, children and young persons). Just as for single tickets, the respective ticket can be used for public transport at the venue on the day of the match (valid during the times specified on the ticket).

6. What needs to be considered when purchasing Venue Specific Tickets (VST)?

For each venue, a maximum of six VST can be applied for in the price categories 1, 2, 3 or 4. For these  Venue Specific Tickets, you can apply for tickets for up to five other persons (‘guests'). If you are successful and are allocated tickets for a VST, you receive all the tickets you have applied for, for this VST.

For each VST, each applicant can order tickets for a price category (1, 2, 3 or 4). Standard price tickets must be ordered for at least one VST; tickets for children and young persons aged 16 or under can be applied for as part of an order limit at a reduced price. A child or young person qualifies for a child's ticket if he/she is aged 16 or under on the start date of the event (26 June 2011), not on the application or purchase date.

Should you apply for tickets for several VST, it can happen that only part of your application is successful in a lottery draw. Therefore, you may not receive tickets for all the VST you have applied for. These partial deliveries are also binding. Orders cannot be subsequently changed or cancelled by the ticket applicant. This does not affect customers' inalienable statutory rights of revocation, warranty and rescission.

7. Are there offers for families?

Families receive discounted tickets for children and young persons aged 16 or under. These tickets are basically available in all categories. The exact prices can be found in the price overview. A child or young person qualifies for a child's ticket if he/she is aged 16 or under on the start date of the event (26 June 2011), not on the application or purchase date.

8. May children sit on the lap of an accompanying adult? Is there a minimum age for children?

Children cannot be taken into the stadium without an admission ticket and then be allowed to sit on the lap of an adult. Every children requires a ticket. There is no minimum age for children.

9. Are there tickets for wheelchair users?

A limited number of tickets is available for wheelchair users and their companions. To qualify, the person must be either: (a) A person who due to their disability cannot attend a football match without a wheelchair, or (b) a person who is accompanying the person in the wheelchair. The prices for wheelchair users correspond to category 4 prices. A ticket for a companion is free. If you wish to enquire about seats for the disabled (single tickets or city series), you can use the e-mail form on the website at http://fwwctickets.fifa.com.

10. How are the wheelchair user seats arranged? Are the seats barrier-free?

In the nine FIFA Women's World Cup stadiums, there are designated areas available for wheelchair users. The location of the seats differs from stadium to stadium; all seats are barrier-free. The seats for companions are located right by the wheelchair user areas.

Please note: The ticket price is based on the current value-added tax rate in Germany of 19%. In the event that this statutory value-added tax rate is increased by the date of the respective match, the 2011 Ticket Centre is entitled to increase the ticket price accordingly and demand that the applicant pay the difference. If the statutory value-added tax rate is reduced, the preceding rule applies accordingly.

12.   How are the price categories arranged in the individual stadiums?

The price categories reflect the location of the seat in the stadium.

  • Category 1 seats are generally sideline seats between the goal lines.
  • Category 2 seats generally adjoin category 1. The most attractive seats behind the goal may also be included in category 2.
  • Category 3 seats are generally located behind a goal or in one of the corners.
  • Category 4 seats are generally located behind the goal or in one of the corners.

Due to the various ground plans of the FIFA World Cup stadiums, the seating category arrangements differ from venue to venue. The seats are classified into the four categories based on objective criteria. Category 1 contains the most attractive seats in the stadium, the next-best seats follow in category 2, and so on.

13.   Can particular wishes in relation to choice of seat in the stadium be considered?

Specific seat requests cannot be considered for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011.

All ticket sales are initially carried out solely in relation to the selected price category. This means that initially no specific seats are allocated, merely seats in a particular area. The allocation of seats (that is, the precise block, row and seat number) within each category takes place at a later time. Only seats and no standing tickets are available for all matches.

The seats booked in an order are basically allocated as contiguous seats. Only in rare, exceptional cases will this not be possible. Seats from different orders cannot, however, be made contiguous.

14.   Why are the tickets for the opening match more expensive than for the other preliminary round matches?

A ticket for the opening match entitles the ticket holder to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™, which precedes the opening match kick-off on 26 June 2011 in the Olympia Stadium Berlin. For this reason, the tickets for the opening match are more expensive than tickets for other preliminary round matches.

15.   Which fees are included in the ticket price?

All prices specified at www.fifa.com/womensworldcup/ include the actual ticket price, ticket system fees, a fee for using public transport and value-added tax.

Not included are the delivery and processing fees. These are determined depending on the total value of the allocated tickets and the place of delivery. The invoice amount and payment amount due will be the total price of all tickets, plus the delivery and processing fees.

16.   How much are the delivery and processing fees for the tickets?

The delivery and processing fee amount will depend on the value of the tickets you are allocated and the place of dispatch.

If this value is less than €50.00, the following delivery and processing fees will be charged: €5.00 for dispatch within Germany, €13.00 for dispatch within the European Union and €15.00 for dispatch outside the European Union.

If the value of the allocated tickets is equal to or greater than €50.00, the following delivery and processing fees will be incurred: €10 for dispatch within Germany, €18 for dispatch within the European Union and €25 for dispatch outside the European Union.

17.   How many tickets can I order?

Each applicant can order tickets for up to six VST per venue.

For single tickets, the maximum order quantity is basically restricted to 20 tickets. To give as many fans as possible the chance to obtain an admission ticket in the case of highly sought-after matches, the maximum sale quantity may be reduced for these matches.

If one of these restrictions is breached, then the orders may be completely rejected.

18.   How do I order tickets?

Tickets for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™ can be ordered as follows:

  1. Via the Internet: To register and order tickets, go to www.fifa.com/womensworldcup
  2. Via the Hotline +49 (0)1805 06 2011 (14 cents/min. from a German landline number, mobile phone rates may vary)
  3. Direct sales of city series tickets will possibly take place in the WC cities from 11 December 2009.

19.   Can tickets also be purchased in the WC stadiums?

Shortly before the start of the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™, fans will have the chance to purchase any remaining tickets at the STC (Stadium Ticket Centre). The precise locations will be announced in due course.

20.   Which information needs to be provided in the order?

The applicant must provide the following personal details in the order form:

Form of address, Surname, First name, Street, Postcode, City, Country, Date of birth, E-mail address, Telephone number

In addition, the applicant must provide credit card information or bank details for their payment:

  • For payment with a credit card: Card type, card number, validity date
  • For payment made by direct debit: Account number, bank code

Please note: The name of the applicant must be identical to the name of the card or account holder / authorised account signatory

21.   When can tickets be ordered?

Tickets are being offered in five different sales phases. Venue Specific Tickets can be ordered in the first sales phase, which starts on 29 October 2009. The first section of this phase ends on 6 December 2009. For this section, the tickets are allocated in the time period 7 - 10 December 2009. If demand exceeds the available tickets on offer, tickets will be allocated on the basis of a random lottery draw. Here, it makes no difference whether a registration is made on 29 October 2009 or on 6 December 2010. Each correct registration has an equal chance of being selected for tickets.

At the end of the first section, any tickets that are still available will be allocated up to 31 January 2010 in the order in which orders were received (that is, ‘first come, first served').

Single tickets will be offered in the 3rd sales phase, which starts on 1 August 2010.

22.   Can I later cancel my order?

Essentially, no return or exchange of tickets is allowed. In justified cases, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 Organising Committee Germany may agree to take back or exchange tickets purely on a goodwill basis.

23.   Who is not eligible to order?

To order tickets for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™, you must be aged 18 years or over. Persons of this age can also order tickets for those under the age of 18. Orders will also be rejected from or for persons who have been barred from attending football matches by a national association or other authority, or from persons who are known to have caused disturbance to security at a football match in the past.

24.   Can allocated tickets be sold or given away?

To avoid violence and criminal acts in connection with the stadium visit, to enforce stadium bans, to separate supporters of opposing teams during a match and to stop the selling-on of tickets at inflated prices (in particular, to avoid ticket speculation and to uphold the price structure developed by the OK taking into account the interests of the fans and social aspects), it is in the OK's interests and for the safety of the spectators to restrict the passing on of tickets.

The ticket holder receives a ticket for personal use, along with the other tickets for his/her guests.

Tickets are passed on to guests and other third parties strictly on a private basis, either free of charge or at the price stated on the ticket, plus the fees paid by the ticket holder to the OK.

The ticket holder is prohibited, in particular, from:

a) offering the ticket for purchase at auctions (in particular on the Internet);

b) passing on the ticket at a higher price than that stated on the ticket, plus the fees paid to the OK;

c) passing on the ticket to persons who have been barred from attending football matches for security reasons, in so far as the reason for barring was known or must have been known to the transferor;

d) passing on the ticket for commercial purposes, in particular for promotion or marketing, as a bonus, promotional gift, prize in a lottery or competition, or as part of a non-authorised hospitality package (for example, combining of tickets with catering services before or after the match near to the stadium) or travel package (for example, combining of tickets with flights and/or hotel overnight stays), or using it otherwise, without the prior written permission of the OK or FIFA.

Whenever the ticket holder passes on a ticket, he/she must indicate to his/her guests and other new ticket holders that the Terms of Business for Tickets apply. The ticket holder is responsible for ensuring that his/her guests and other new ticket holders acknowledge the unrestricted validity of the Terms of Business for Tickets and observe them.

If the ticket holder offers, uses or passes on a ticket in an impermissible way, the OK is entitled to lock the ticket as well as other tickets purchased by the ticket holder (also electronically) without compensation and to refuse the ticket holder entrance to, or expel him/her from, the stadium without compensation.

25.   Can the ticket be used for public transport?

On the day of the relevant match, the issued ticket for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011 is valid for public transport at the venue during the times printed on the ticket.

26.   Who is the contractual partner?

All tickets are sold exclusively on behalf and for account of the DFB e.V.

27.   How does a locked ticket affect entrance to the stadium?

Should a customer try to enter the stadium with a locked ticket, he/she will be denied access. This unauthorised entry attempt is checked and, if necessary, is referred to the security authorities.

28.   What is the procedure for accessing the stadium at the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011?

At all matches in the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011, there is first a visual ticket inspection and a search of persons and their belongings. After that is the actual admission control using turnstile locks. The tickets are checked electronically; if the check is successful, the locks are released and admission is granted. In the case of reduced price tickets, a signal is given at this point, whereupon proof of reduced price eligibility must be presented.

29.   How long is the order data stored for?

The order data is stored in accordance with the statutory retention periods for such documents.

30.   Who or what is the ‘2011 Ticket Centre'?

The 2011 Ticket Centre is the sole and official establishment entitled to sell tickets for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™ to private customers on behalf of the DFB.

31.   Are there reduced price tickets?

There are reduced price tickets for children and young persons aged 16 years or under. This allows families, in particular, to attend the matches at considerably reduced prices.

In the 2nd sales phase, which runs from 15 February 2010 to 30 July 2010, amateur football clubs will be given the chance to purchase reduced price tickets for groups.

32.   Are there tickets that cover all of a team's matches?

No ticket series for all of a team's matches are envisaged.

33.   To whom should I address questions regarding my order?

For general questions regarding an order, there is a link to the customer service department on the website www.fifa.com/womensworldcup/, under Contact in the Tickets area. Here, you can also submit questions using an e-mail form.

34.   Further questions about the FIFA Women's WC 2011™

Information on stadiums, travel directions, overnight accommodation options, interesting details about the venues and all further topics that are not directly related to the ordering of admission tickets may be found at www.fifa.com/womensworldcup/. This information is continually being extended up to the start of the FIFA Women's WC 2011™.

35.   How can I pay for tickets?

If tickets could be allocated directly or through a lottery draw, the purchase amount for the tickets must be paid in Euro using the method that was selected in the order form. The guidelines stated in the notification of order acceptance, as well as the specified time limits must be observed.

In the first five sales phases, the following payment methods are accepted:

  • Credit card (VISA & MasterCard )
  • Direct debit authorisation (for customers with a bank account in Germany)

36.   What needs to be considered when paying by credit card?

VISA is the preferred credit card of the Women's WC 2011. The credit card is debited only if the ticket order was accepted and tickets could be allocated. The credit card must be valid during the entire period of the respective sales phase and must have sufficient credit for the transaction. Should the validity of the credit card change, then these details need to be updated under ‘My Profile'.

Credit card holder and applicant must be identical.

Any fees for foreign transactions (currency conversion fees or rate surcharges) are paid for by the applicant.

37.   What needs to be considered when paying by direct debit?

If you have a German bank account, you can pay by direct debit. In this case, you must provide the relevant bank information in the ticket order.

The bank account is debited only if the ticket order was accepted. Please ensure that the account data is current during the entire period of the respective sales phase and that sufficient funds are available for the transaction. The details are to be updated under 'My Profile'.

38.   What happens if there are problems with the payment?

If payment of the full ticket price cannot be successfully performed for reasons that the ticket applicant is responsible for (for example, insufficient credit card credit or account funds to cover the payment, or the ticket applicant's payment is revoked), then the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 Organising Committee Germany is entitled to cancel the order without compensation or to electronically lock the relevant tickets. The right to enforce compensation claims is expressly reserved for this case.

39.   How and when are the tickets delivered?

If an order is successful in the five sales phases, the tickets are delivered five to seven weeks before the start of the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™ to the address you stated.

Please make sure that the 2011 Ticket Centre always has your current delivery address.

40.   Under which conditions are tickets allocated for a different category of for fewer matches?

When you make an order, you can agree to accept tickets in the next higher or next lower category, should your preferred tickets not be available. By checking the box ‘I agree to accept an alternative category (next higher or next lower PC)', you can be allocated a ticket in the next higher or lower category, if your chosen category is sold out.

If you are allocated tickets by lottery draw, it can happen that only part of your application is successful. Therefore, you may not receive tickets for all the city series or for all the matches you have applied for.

41.   How do I know the order status?

After you have registered, you can view your registration data under ‘My Profile'. If your application for tickets was successful, or if you have purchased tickets directly in a later phase, the registration information is replaced with the order information.

42.   Under which circumstances are applications for tickets in the first sales phase drawn by lottery?

The number of valid applications is determined at the end of the first section of the first sales phase (6 December 2009). There are two possibilities:

a) If the number of valid applications for particular tickets is less than or equal to the fixed quota, all valid applications are processed in full and accepted, assuming that all payments are received.

b) If, however, the number of applications exceeds the quota, all applications will be subject to a lottery, which is scheduled to start from 6 December 2009.

If an application was considered as per a) or was successful in the lottery as per b), then this application is processed as an order, confirmed and, upon successful payment, finally accepted.

If you are allocated tickets through the lottery draw, then this will be for the complete order for this city series.

43.   How do I know whether my order was successful?

You will receive a confirmation if your order was successful. If you ordered your tickets online, or if when phoning through your order you gave an e-mail address, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. If you have not provided an e-mail address, the confirmation will be sent to you by post.

44.   What if I need to change my delivery address and payment details after a successful application/order?

If the delivery address or payment details given in your order change, please let us know of the new data right away. You can make the changes yourself at www.FIFA.com/womensworldcup, under ‘My Profile'. To do this, please log in with the e-mail address you gave in the order and the password sent to you. If tickets are allocated, they are always sent to the delivery address given in the order or to the changed delivery address under ‘My Profile'. For the collection of the due invoice amounts, the payment data available at the respective point in time is always used. Please note that the credit card validity data also needs to be current.

45.   How am I notified of my login and password?

It is important when ordering online and when ordering by telephone to give a valid e-mail address. This e-mail address is later used as a login to access 'My Profile'. The password required to enter the area is sent to the given e-mail address. After the first login, you can change the personal password using the ‘Change login data' link.

46.   Forgotten your password?

If you have forgotten the password for the ‘My Profile' area, you can use the ‘Forgotten your password?' link in the login screen. A new password is then automatically sent to the given e-mail address.

47.   Forgotten your login?

The e-mail address given in the order is used as a login. It is recommended that you make a copy of the order form to refer to if you forget your login data.

48.   Change password?

Under ‘My Profile', there is a ‘Change login data' link that allows you to change the password.

49.   Is my browser version compatible with the Ticket Shop for the FIFA Women's WC 2011™?

When designing the pages, it was important that essentially only standard functions are used and that they can be correctly displayed by the various browsers used worldwide. If, in exceptional cases, there are difficulties displaying a web page, then this concerns merely the optical display. It does not affect the use of the functions. We recommend that JavaScript be enabled in order to make use of the web page's full functionality.

50.   Must JavaScript and cookies be enabled in the browser?

It is recommended that JavaScript be enabled, as otherwise the full functionality of the web page is not available. A relevant message is also displayed on the respective page.

The enabling of cookies is not required in the area for making an application. For the functions under ‘My Profile', cookies should be allowed. You can make the adjustments in the browser's security settings.

51.   Will my data be securely transmitted to the 2011 Ticket Centre (SSL encryption)?

Personal customer and payment data will be transmitted confidentially in accordance with current standards. A key requirement for confidentiality in data transmission is that the called web page, to which the data is transmitted, is loaded with SSL encryption (Secure Sockets Layer), that is using ‘https'. In the case of the Ticket Shop for the FIFW Women's WC 20011™, this is the page displayed for confirmation after the order form has been sent.

It is not necessary for the empty form page that contains the data entry fields to be loaded securely (that is, using https). And here, no padlock symbol is visible in the browser.

The confirmation page, on the other hand, is loaded encrypted as required (this can be seen from the padlock symbol in the status bar at the bottom of the confirmation page).

The security of your data during transmission to our servers is therefore ensured!

52. Was my order successfully transmitted to the 2011 Ticket Centre? / There were problems with the Internet connection. Did my order arrive?

When you have filled out the online order form in full and have clicked the ‘Send application' button, the ticket application is transmitted to the 2011 Ticket Centre. An Internet page confirming this process then follows. We send an e-mail confirming that we have received the application to the e-mail address given in the application. If the confirmation page does not open after the application has been sent and if, in the next 48 hours, the applicant receives no e-mail confirming that the ticket application has been received, then the e-mail address provided was not correct or our e-mail was rejected by the e-mail provider of the applicant. In this case, we recommend that you write an e-mail to our customer service department, giving your name and the date and time when the application was made. The customer service department can be contacted using an e-mail form that may be found on the website www.FIFA.com/womensworldcup, under ‘Contact' in the Ticket Shop.  If the address was correctly entered and still no confirmation e-mail was received, the application could not be transmitted to us due to technical problems. In such a case, we recommend that you make a new ticket application.

To check whether you entered the e-mail address correctly, you can use the 'Forgotten your password' function under 'My Profile' to request the login data. If there is an error message to the effect that the user name (e-mail address) is not known to us, then the application was not successfully transmitted, and we recommend making a new application.

If this error message does not appear and you receive no e-mail from us, then the e-mail address was incorrectly given in the order.
