The concluding chapter of FIFA and LOC President Steffi Jones official Welcome Tour to each of the 15 participating nations at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™ will take place in Japan on 8 June 2011. The original date had been postponed from 31 March 2011 as a result of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in the country.

“We’re delighted to have found the opportunity, along with FIFA and the Japanese FA, to show our solidarity and welcome the Japanese football family to Germany 2011," said Jones.

The trip to the 15th and final FIFA Women’s World Cup nation will therefore take place exactly six months after the start of the Welcome Tour on 8 December 2011 in Sydney.

We’re delighted to have found the opportunity, along with FIFA and the Japanese FA, to show our solidarity and welcome the Japanese football family to Germany 2011.

Steffi Jones, LOC President
