After three preliminary rounds, which took place between October 2010 and April 2011, the CAF women's qualifiers for London 2012 entered their final stage. After winning their respective qualifying ties, Cameroon and South Africa will be the two teams to represent Africa at the Women's Olympic Football Tournament at London 2012. Cameroon defeated Nigeria 4-3 on penalties after their tie had finished 3-3 on aggregate, while South Africa defeated Ethiopia 4-1 on aggregate to qualify for London 2012.
