Undeniably Canada's greatest goalscorer to date, Christine Sinclair has been inspirational both on and off the field. Having led Canada to a bronze medal at the Women's Olympic Football Tournament at London 2012, to a proud showing on home soil at the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™, to a first place finish at the 2016 Algarve Cup, Sinclair has been unwavering in her dedication to her team's success.

But when she is not wearing the Red and White representing her country, Sinclair is also a proponent of growing the women's game around the world. As a Live Your Goals ambassador, Sinclair has been helping advance FIFA’s mission to provide girls and women around the world with the opportunity to play football at all levels.

"I think I am the person I am today because of football," Sinclair said. "I started when I was very young, around four years old. You just learn so many valuable lessons as a kid in a team sport: about teamwork, selflessness and respecting your team-mates and opponents. I just think all kids should get that chance."

As Sinclair continues to set records and chase fellow Live Your Goals ambassador Abby Wambach at the top of the all-time scoring charts, the Burnaby, British Columbia native is simultaneously urging as many women and girls to play football as possible.

Before the start of Canada 2015, Sinclair joined her fellow Liver Your Goals Ambassadors in setting a target for inclusion in women's football in four years' time: "Let's get 45 million of us playing football by the next Women's World Cup in 2019!"
