England secured their place in the UEFA Women's EURO quarter-finals and will face hosts Finland next after Faye White scored in the draw with Sweden.
White gave England the lead after 28 minutes in Turku when she headed home from Karen Carney's cross. However Sweden were back on level terms before half-time, after Katie Chapman brought down Lotta Schelin in the penalty area.
Victoria Svensson converted the spot-kick and Sweden threatened to go ahead before the break, only for Alex Scott to head Sara Thunebro's goal-bound shot to safety.
Kelly Smith and Fara Williams both threatened for England early in the second half, with Hedvig Lindahl in the Sweden goal being kept busy, and White had the chance to win the match late on but headed over the bar.
England will take on Finland in Turku on Thursday for a place in the semi-finals.
